Yngve Ekström is best known for the "Lamino" armchair, an ergonomic and minimalist easy chair that he designed in 1956 and which has been in continuous production ever since. In 1999, the "Lamino" was named by the influential Swedish magazine "Sköna Hems" as the Swedish furniture design of the twentieth century.

2021-02-19 · Beautiful bar chair by Yngve Ekström from the 1950s, the so-called 'Pinocchio' chair. The wood has the recognisable green colour. The chair is solid and in good condition. The wood does show signs of wear, corresponding to its age and use. At the back you see that a small slit originated in the wood. This does however not influence the firmness of the chair.
